DANIEL GILLIES

A professional actor for 10 years, Daniel first attended the School of Performing Arts in Auckland, New Zealand. By the time he left his country at 25, Daniel had starred in 6 major stage productions, written and directed his own play, played a lead in the television legal drama 'Street Legal' for 3 years, guest-starred in local American productions and completed his first 2 feature roles.

Since his journey to North America (Vancouver and later Los Angeles) Daniel has been blessed with roles in projects such as 'Bride and Prejudice', 'Spiderman 2' and 'The Sensation of Sight'. He plays the lead opposite Elishia Cuthbert in Roland Joffe's 'Captivity' which opens in theatres MAY 18th.

Disturbed by a monumental mediocrity afflicting the world of cinema right now - Daniel resolved to do something about it.

Hence 'Wait For Me', his alliance with Geoff Oki and Holy Monster.

Daniel lives with his dogs, his cats and his wife who hasn't figured out that she's too good for him yet in Los Angeles, California.

GEOFF OKI

Geoff Oki was born and raised in Sacramento, CA and moved to Los Angeles to earn a BA in Design | Media Arts at UCLA. He left a design job at Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment to help start motion graphics company Nylon Motion and went on to direct music videos, one of those winning multiple awards. Besides directing, Oki does illustration, design, and animation, having done everything from album covers to t-shirt graphics, concert posters and film websites. On a whim, he was invited by Daniel Gillies to join him in on the first film, beginning the quest that became known as Holy Monster.

His avid backpacking father instilled an appreciation for the outdoors and conservation in Oki. Through Holy Monster, he hopes to share parts of the world people never knew they wanted to visit and inspire them to find their own sense of adventure through compelling filmmaking.
